The main mission of Ab.Acus, a research-driven, market-oriented company, is to spread and exploit ICT and engineering based methodologies in the field of social sciences, humanities and medical research. A multidisciplinary, multicultural, trans-sectoral and inclusive approach to research and innovation is at the kernel of Ab.Acus methodologies. Long-term experience at the edge among different disciplines allows the definition and set-up of effective strategies to facilitate communication and foster collaboration in multi-disciplinary groups. The achievement of these objectives builds on cooperation in international projects with leading partners throughout Europe. All the above competencies make our company the ideal partner to translate research results in usable and friendly tools which professionals, relevant stakeholders as well as well citizens, the indirect final target group of any research activity, can effectively exploit. Ab.Acus development work is always driven by the need to match the user, the technology and the application. Among the newest H2020 projects in medical and ICT field, Ab.Acus is coordinating RETRAINER (www.retrainer.eu), “REaching and grasping Training based on Robotic hybrid AssIstance for Neurological patients: End users Real life evaluation”; and it is partner in m-RESIST (www.mresist.eu) “Mobile Therapeutic Attention for Patients with Treatment Resistant Schizophrenia”, in which Ab.Acus is developing the design and the data analysis of parameters that come out from smartphone and wearable solutions. Others two H2020 projects in which Ab.Acus is a partner are DiDIY (www.didiy.eu) “Digital Do It Yourself” and SocialCar “Open social transport network for urban approach to carpooling”.
