acme cleantech solutions pvt. ltd., popularly referred to as the acme group, is one of the leading global sustainable and renewable energy companies. founded by mr manoj k. upadhyay in 2003, it is headquartered at gurugram in the state of haryana in india. today, acme group is a significant contributor towards lighting up homes and industrial units in india. it has pioneered in development, construction, and operating large-scale solar power projects across different states like gujarat, madhya pradesh, odisha, chhattisgarh, punjab, andhra pradesh, telangana, bihar, uttar pradesh, uttarakhand, karnataka, and rajasthan. acme group has built a solar portfolio of over 6 gwp. the company currently operates over 1.5 gwp of capacity with another 10 gwp under construction. these are spread across 13 states in india and oman. with innovation being the forte of acme group, it has set up the world’s first integrated pilot project for green hydrogen and green ammonia plant at bikaner in rajasthan. in this project, green hydrogen is being produced using 5mwp from the solar plant, scalable to 10 mwp. the plant will help in saving approx. 4400 tons/annum of co2 emissions. this r&d pilot has enriched the company with knowledge, experience, and learning, which are being utilized in large-scale green hydrogen and green ammonia plants under development overseas. acme group is setting up a world-scale green hydrogen and green ammonia project at the sez in duqm, oman. the facility aims to export green ammonia to demand centers such as europe and asia with an investment of nearly $5-6 billion. the plant will be an integrated facility using renewable energy to produce about 0.9 million tons of green ammonia every year. acme envisions to become a leading green energy provider in the world by 2030 and producing 10 million tons/year of green ammonia and hydrogen. acme has started working with various governments, partners and stakeholders to develop projects in various geographies.
