Action on Addiction

For nearly 35 years our experts have been providing life-saving treatment to individuals in active addiction; for every person we help another five people are also helped indirectly. Since 1983 Clouds, our flagship addiction treatment centre has become the beating heart of a growing network of successful professional partnerships, working to help sufferers of addiction from all walks of life. We work with leading academics and researchers to perfect the best possible ways of helping those suffering from addiction in whatever form it takes: alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, gaming or food. Our continually solid CQC reports bear out our commitment to safety, effectiveness and quality of service, whilst our clients speak of the power of peer support and the richness of a diverse, committed community. In 2016 the average completion rate was 83% and 95% of clients agreed their treatment was either excellent or very good. Action on Addiction is the powerhouse for : • Clouds House: offering residential addictions treatment which includes alcohol and drug detoxification • Hope House: offering residential addictions treatment specifically for women • Community Recovery: offering community-based treatment services in Liverpool and Essex • The Centre of Addiction Treatment Studies: offering professional education in addictions and related subjects • The Brink: the UK’s first dry bar, which is in Liverpool Interested in working for us?
