The origins of the Aduro Energy (Æ) Hydrothermal Upgrading technology (HTU) are rooted in six years of intense laboratory research that enabled a fresh look at the chemistry and treatments of waste hydrocarbons and there in-depth understanding. Aduro Energys patent-pending Thermo-Catalytic Deoxygenation technology (TCD) offers the possibility to transform corn distillers oil and other fatty acid glyceryl esters from diverse crops globally into drop-in bio jet fuel that meets the specifications of the Hydro-processed Esters and Fatty Acids Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene (HEFA-SPK) process. Technically, the process can handle any lipids irrespective of the free fatty acid content. Aduro Energy Hydrothermal Upgrading Technology (HTU) has a Patent Granted. The HTU changes both the physical and chemical parameters of Asphaltene and extra heavy oil into conventional crude similar to West Texas Intermediate (WTI) eliminating the need of any blending material such as diluent while saving over 20% of the total related operations cost. The HTU and TCD technology are very robust and can be used effectively to improve the chemical and physical properties of Bio-Crude oils. Depending on the feedstock source and composition, the technology is capable of producing anything from crude-oil like to drop-in diesel and/or bio-jet fuels.
