We believe that much of the available capacity inherent in the world's road networks is not used because of inefficient heavy vehicle policy and regulation. We work with the transport industry, its suppliers, and relevant government agencies to develop better freight policy and better heavy vehicle configurations matched to various road classes. We use the world-class Performance Based Standards method to evaluate innovative heavy vehicles for improved productivity and safety. We investigate heavy vehicle crashes and evaluate operational safety. We promote the uptake of advanced safety technology. We want the transport industry to continue to increase its contribution to the economy and to road safety objectives.
