Advocates is a person-centered not for profit organization that empowers individuals with developmental disabilities to direct their own lives and create a vision for their future. Together, we advocate for a future where people with developmental disabilities can fully participate in their home, schools, and communities in a meaningful way. We offer the following services: - Person-Centered Planning - Medicaid Service Coordination / Care Coordination - Brokerage - Fiscal Intermediary Services - Community Habilitation: Self-Hired within Self-Direction Budget - Community Habilitation: Agency Supported Self-Directed - Recreation - Family Training - Family Supports and Services (FSS) - Service Access - Medical Advocacy As an organization, we were started by parents of children with developmental disabilities with the goal of full inclusion for their children. Our goal is to partner with individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and the community to create opportunities for individuals to lead inclusive lives in our community. We provide advocacy, resources, information and choices to empower individuals and their families. There is no charge for any of our services. - We advocate across the lifespan for people with developmental disabilities and their families. - We assist people with developmental disabilities to direct their own lives and choose their services and supports from many available sources. - We encourage people with developmental disabilities and their families to develop a vision for their future. - We promote the value, potential and full participation of all people in the community. - We believe that all is possible when we join together.
