Aeiforia is based in Piacenza (Italy) and provides services in the agro-chemical, agronomic, environmental and eco-toxicological fields, for a sustainable use of phytosanitary products, throughout Italy. Aeiforia is a university Spin-Off of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Piacenza. It was funded in 2009 within the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Chemistry. The core activity of the company is the development of pre- and post-authorization studies on chemicals products in compliance with Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP): • Environmental monitoring of residues of phytosanitary products and their metabolites • Bystander, resident, and operator exposure assessment • Field leaching studies, field dissipation studies, and runoff evaluation • Development of protocols and reporting We also carry out other kinds of environmental monitoring and risk/impact assessment studies (e.g. ecosystem exposure, Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) efficiency, risk of freshwater and groundwater contamination). In addition, Aeiforia has been involved in several EU research projects.
