AFAC is the National Council for fire and emergency services in Australia and New Zealand, creating synergies across the emergency management sector. We are the facilitator and custodian of contemporary fire and emergency service knowledge and practice, for the benefit of our Members and through them, the community. Our Members support Australian and New Zealand communities through mitigation and response phases of emergency management and the transition to recovery. We build knowledge by bringing together collaborators from across jurisdictions, capabilities and hazards to find opportunities and solve problems. This knowledge is then shared back through the AFAC membership to drive innovation and good practice.
