agir ensemble pour les droits de l'homme (aedh)

Since 1989, Agir Ensemble pour les droits de l'Homme (AEDH) is a non-governmental organization committed to defending and promoting human rights and freedoms around the world. AEDHs priority is to support concrete actions to defend and promote human rights in the countries of the Southern and the Eastern hemispheres. Our organization supports projects that are developed and carried out in the field by associations or local groups. We are convinced that local associations, which act "on the front line", are the most competent to defend fundamental rights in their native context. The defense of human rights cannot be content with mere words but must be translated into action. It is about mobilizing resources to concretely support the efforts of those who act to protect the victims, defend democratic freedoms, and promote respect for the rule of law. Since its creation, AEDH has supported the projects of nearly 400 associations and aided 800 defenders of human rights in danger in more than 40 countries.
