Mission The CaGBC Alberta Chapter seeks to: Lead and accelerate the transformation to high-performing, healthy green buildings, homes and communities throughout Alberta. Background The CaGBC was formally founded as a not-for-profit in December 2002. It represents a coalition of public and private building industry leaders, who promote buildings and communities that are environmentally responsible, economically viable and healthy places to live and work in. In May 2004, the Alberta Chapter was incorporated as a registered society. The Alberta Chapter is governed by a board of directors and its work is divided among three committees: programs, membership and finance. The activities and events organized by the Chapter focus on education and promotion of sustainable building.
