Allevia Hospitals, formerly MercyAscot Hospitals, is one of New Zealand’s largest private surgical hospital groups, delivering care to patients at three sites across Auckland: Allevia Hospitals Epsom, Allevia Hospitals Ascot and Allevia Endoscopy – based in Epson and Takapuna. Each year, 360+ of New Zealands leading specialists, suported by our exceptional teams of nursing and clinical support staff, use our world class-facilities to provide treatement to over 20,000 patients. We proudly run 22 operating theatres for surgical specialties, including general, orthopaedic, cardiac, urology, neurosurgery, gynaecology, vascular, plastic and reconstructive, and head and neck. We are the only private hospital in Auckland with both an intensive care unit and high dependency unit to support complex and high-acuity cases. Additionally, we offer a dedicated endoscopy service and a day stay service. We’re continuously investing in healthcare technology – including the latest in surgical robotic technologies – and developing our hospital facilities, with a new, state-of-the-art hospital wing at Allevia Hospital Epsom opening in May 2025, which will allow us to provide care to more New Zealanders than ever before.
