At ALS in the Heartland, it is our mission to provide the highest quality of support and care for ALS patients and their families. We strive to enhance the quality of life for all people affected by ALS, heighten community awareness of this devastating disease, and strengthen public and legislative support in the fight against ALS. Our services include: * Professional consultation by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in-home, telehealth, or via telephone and e-mail; * Respite Care Voucher Program; * Equipment Loan Program; * Information and education; * Community Support Groups; * Referrals to relevant ALS Medical Clinics; and * Volunteers for companionship, and assistance with househould errands and chores.
