Amalgam Steel, a joint venture between the Atha and Misra Groups, has acquired Adhunik Alloys & Power Limited and Orissa Manganese & Minerals Limited, both of which operate manufacturing facilities in the state of Jharkhand.   The Company's integrated steel plant is founded on Sponge Iron Technology. Driven by the growing demand for steel products in sectors such as power and telecommunications, construction, and heavy industry throughout the nation, Amalgam Steel has devised a multistage expansion plan encompassing both upstream and downstream developments. The Company has also secured its sources of raw materials.   Amalgam Steel is a leading steel manufacturer of Iron Ore Pellets, Billets, Sponge Iron and Structural Rolled Products. The Group also generates Power for its captive use. It has also private Railway Siding for inward-outward freight services at both locations. The Group has also recently acquired Topworth Steels & Power Private Limited and Crest Steel & Power Private Limited which have manufacturing facilities in the state of Chhattisgarh.
