ANEW Alchemy: Turning corporate surplus into community service. Our core practice is stewarding surplus furniture, fixtures, equipment and architectural materials from decommissioned commercial space to charities, non-profits, and public agencies. These actions reduce capital expenditures, thereby increasing funds toward programs which advance their missions. By repurposing material otherwise destined for landfill we strengthen communities & divert over 1.5 million pounds from landfill every year. ANEW has served over 700 organizations in 14 countries. DESCRIPTION: ANEW exists as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization to educate and expand the practice of Social Sustainability® - uniting social responsibility with environmental sustainability. ANEW is dedicated to extending the lifecycle of surplus furniture, architectural materials and building assets through reuse, resale, recycle and recovery of energy-from-waste. ANEW reports the landfill diversion metrics outcome. Surplus is matched to non-profits, public agencies and underserved communities across the United States.
