Newcastle Animal Referral & Emergency Centre provides specialist veterinary care, as well as overnight and emergency care for pet in the Newcastle and Surrounding areas. NAREC offers a referral service in the fields of Dermatology, Surgery, and Internal Medicine. NAREC staff provide high quality care when illness or injury occurs after hours, or if pet's need continuing after hours care. NAREC staff are trained in emergency management to deal with any situation overnight care demands. Emergency support is critical to the survival of the patient and its future quality of life. Our highly trained staff aim to provide the best possible initial and continuing care available. All visit records are returned to the general practice veterinarian and NAREC may consult with, or refer patients to, specialist staff at other facilities to ensure the best care. NAREC provide on-site laboratory services, CT imaging, radiology and ultrasound, minor and major surgery, urgent care and critical care where needed. NAREC now provides a referral dermatology service, a referral surgical service, and now a referral service in small animal internal medicine. NAREC also works with Newcastle Veterinary Ultrasound to provide advanced imaging solutions for veterinary care.
