Antica works with Italian architect Lorenzo Polvani on a range of sinks, baths, furniture, candlesticks, soap holders, fruit holders, book ends, jewellery boxes and more. Some of Polvani's designs incorporate steel and glass as well as stone, such as a set of exotic free standing conical stone sinks, linked with glass. "The items are worked initially by machine, but are totally hand finished by a group known as Vaselli, a family that take the blocks of stone and produce the baths and sinks. We design the piece and they machine out the shapes, but finishing the materials takes a considerable time and must be done by hand.
