Ark Cancer Centre Charity is raising £5million to help fund and deliver supportive care and services, complementary therapies, and an enhanced environment in a NHS cancer treatment centre at Basingstoke hospital. Ark is a very small charity - there is a full-time director of fundraising and communications, a part-time company secretary and four trustees - but it has a great deal of public support, particularly in and around the Basingstoke area. Our strapline is 'For the people, by the people' and with the support of the public and other funding supporters, Ark will help Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to provide the first-class care and support that local cancer patients, their families and loved ones deserve.
