The starting-point of the studio is the landscape. Whether we talk about the park, the town, the square or the open country, the landscape is the foundation upon which we act and live in the world. At Arkitekt Kristine Jensens Tegnestue we dedicate ourselves with vision to landscape architecture and projects of city planning. While handling the tasks we focus on sustainability, aesthetic surroundings and quality of life. We believe that any given place deserves attention and contains potential for a particular experience, if the task is done with respect to both context and artistic knowledge. The studio employs a strategy where the landscape is used as a lively part of a bigger whole in the scheme. At the end of their construction the urban spaces and landscapes enter naturally into their surroundings as a vital, sensuous and active part of every day life. As a result they accommodate sport, play, sensing, reflection and display poetic vitality.
