artists for change

Artists for Change is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to create high impact film, television, and multimedia projects to inspire individuals, organizations, and communities to bring about positive social change. Narrative media—spanning film and TV to emerging episodic forms such as podcasts, VR and webseries—are unique in their ability to engage people’s emotions. Research has established that emotional engagement with multidimensional characters moving through diverse, evocative story worlds, allows for faster access to a more transformative understanding of messages and values. Socially conscious narratives catalyze the visualization of the impact of our actions, mobilize communities to stand up for what they believe in, and inspire youth to become leaders of their generation. Narrative media developed by artists of all stripes and backgrounds rise the light to grounded solutions via the vital empathy of story across our unpredictable global sociopolitical landscapes. Supporting Non-profit Organizations: 90% of nonprofits say fundraising is their biggest barrier to telling their stories through digital media. Artists For Change collaborates with other non-profit organizations. We provide our film, television, and multimedia projects free-of-charge to support their own fundraising and educational activities. Supporting Schools: Artists for Change’s film, TV, and multimedia projects are given to schools as an education tool to raise awareness among students and parents. Supporting Filmmakers: Artists for Change holds educational events for filmmakers year-around to encourage them to think about the content that they put out into the world and use their voices to contribute to positive change.
