The Audubon Center of the North Woods (ACNW) is a 501c3 non-profit 535 acre residential environmental learning center near Sandstone, MN that serves over 15,000 individuals annually. Our mission is to instill a connection to the environment in all communities through experiential learning. As an accredited school, we offer day use and residential environmental programming for K-12 schools, colleges & universities, youth, families, adults and community members. As the State of Minnesota's largest authorizer of publicly funded charter schools, we authorize 34 schools and nearly 7,500 students in our environmentally focused schools. As a retreat and conference center, we provide meeting, lodging and dining services that can accommodate 162 individuals.
