Australasian Centre for Rail Innovation (NTRO)

The Australasian Centre for Rail Innovation’s collaborative structure unites private and government rail entities from Australia and New Zealand in the pursuit of rail innovation in response to both current and future industry challenges. The collaboratively agreed initiatives are targeted at the areas of participants greatest needs and independently delivered on a best for project basis via universities, research providers, in-house expertise and commercial subject matter expertise. The Australasian Centre for Rail Innovation also undertake bespoke strategic analysis, research and policy initiatives for both participants and the broader rail industry. Through ACRI’s amalgamation with the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) - the newly launched National Transport Research Organisation provides greater certainty on successful innovation pursuits for rail and all transport research. With NTRO offices now open in Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and coming soon to New Zealand - for the first time there is a true independent and for purpose national research provider available for government and the private sector.
