Australian Desert Expeditions (ADE) principal purpose is to protect and enhance the natural environment by undertaking research of the remote Australian desert environments. There are many plants and animals still to be discovered by science. Three‐quarters of Australia’s biodiversity is yet to be identified and forty‐five per cent of continental Australia has never been comprehensively surveyed by scientists. ADE is facilitating to solve that problem by challenging the desert research status quo, initiating and conducting surveys in the most isolated desert regions inaccessible by conventional means. We use traditionally outfitted pack camels to systematically survey the Australian desert, whilst providing trekkers with an unmatched educational ecotourism experience, revealing the desert landscape narrative step by step.
