Avert

Avert is an international HIV and AIDS charity with a simple vision. We believe in a world with no new HIV infections, and where those living with HIV and AIDS do so with equality and the support they need. We work to ensure widespread understanding of HIV and AIDS in order to reduce new infections and improve the lives of those affected. Every month, around 1 million people from over 180 countries visit Avert.org for information about sexual health and HIV. We provide this information in a way that is easily accessible and without bias, so that people will learn and make informed decisions for their own health. We also provide HIV information about the epidemic to those working in the field. Supporting partners in Southern Africa is an important part of what we do! We have partners in South Africa, Lesotho, Malawi and Zambia, where we enable them to be more effective and far reaching in their community action. We also campaign for better responses we believe that through sharing evidence based information on what makes a difference we can influence change
