AxSys is a world leading software product development company aimed at providing Clinical Care Pathways solutions, specialising in the automation of clinical workflows, in the design and provision of enterprise-wide clinical portals, and in the design and support of systems to support clinical specialties like Cancer care, Diabetes, Reproductive Health, and many others. Our users include some of the largest healthcare groups in the USA, Canada, and the United Kingdom. In 2011 The Gartner Group identified AxSys as one of its Global Cool Vendors for Healthcare IT In 2012 IDC Health Insights identified AxSys as the Leader in Health Information Exchange (HIE). AxSys is based in Glasgow, Scotland and founded in 2000 by a husband and wife team of two doctors, Dr. Pradeep Ramayya and Dr. Anjali Ramayya, following a career spanning 20 years of clinical practice. Through their clinical practice the founders recognised that healthcare was being delivered in an increasingly disconnected and distributed environment. Patients were receiving care not by one person but by a multi-disciplinary array of care providers often in different locations. Care delivery was becoming more fragmented, inefficient and delivered based on priorities and availability of providers rather than the priorities of patients. Patients felt increasingly disempowered by the system and this, the founders felt, had a negative impact on patient care, especially for those with long term conditions. In pursuit of this vision to empower the patients, AxSys would be launching its solution in India shortly. AxSys HealthTech is a company based in Hyderabad, India was formed in January 2000. Today the company has offices and customers in the USA, Canada, and Europe.
