At Bantelmann, we believe in providing our customers with the best professionals for their specific need. Translating requires competences beyond language, and for each of them we have capable translators at our clients’ disposal. In each specialist area we select the right translator based on the type of text and topic. In principle, our translators only translate into their mother tongue, thereby ensuring a solid feel for the language. We work using the four eyes principle: once translated the text is reviewed and checked carefully by a second, equally qualified translator. Medical translations: one of our specialties, medical translations involve all content pertaining to the medical and pharmaceutical industry, including research reports and documentation. These projects are always entrusted to translators in our team which have the high level of specialization in the topic required to provide correct, complete, and pertinent translations. Legal translations: for all legal documents, from agreements to contracts to insurance policies and certifications or general sales conditions, a knowledge of law – both that of the original nation and of the one for which the content is being translated – is as important as perfect command of language. Our specialized legal translators are available to take on such important projects. Technical translations: this field covers all those translations where the original text has a highly technical approach, and involves topics which must be explained with the utmost clarity. We have selected professionals working on such projects. More and more often, customers ask us about machine translations and their actual feasibility for professional use in technical translations. While not perfect yet, automated translations are improving quickly, and may sometimes prove – in high-technical content translations only - to be a suitable solution, as long as the necessary steps are taken to obtain best results by careful Post-editing.
