we are "making dreams come true."​ we provide children and adults with intellectual disabilities and behavioral health challenges and their families the education, support and resources needed to be self reliant, independent and valued members of their community. in addition, we provide the professionals who serve them with world-class education and training. since 1952, we have established a global reputation for excellence in all areas of service delivery, education and professional development. and each year, we help more than 6,200 individuals reach their potential for fulfilling, productive lives. today, the barber national institute offers a complete range of services that includes early intervention for infants and toddlers, an inclusive preschool, an autism center of excellence, an approved private school, job training and placement, residential options including community group homes, lifesharing and supported living programs, in-home services, specialized therapies and behavioral therapy, a creative arts program and a retirement center.
