Founded by Anu Gupta, BE MORE trains professionals in science-based tools that measurably reduce unconscious bias. Unconscious bias compromises a company's ability to recruit, retain, and advance diverse talent as well as ensure bias-free performance in product development and service delivery (e.g., facial recognition technology and provider-patient communication, respectively). Based on leading metrics of organizational psychology and emotional intelligence, we design tailored approaches to break bias within companies based on our proprietary Breaking Bias® journey. Our shame-free and solutions-oriented approach allow professionals to break habits of stereotyping in the mind while providing leadership with data to understand where their people stand on the Breaking Bias® journey. Weve trained over 15,000 professionals, impacting over 10 million lives, at more than 200 companies including Northwell Health, UVA Health System, Birchbox, The Museum of Natural History, PBS, IBM, DTCC, Brooklyn Navy Yard, NYC DOE, US Courts, and Lululemon. Funded by the National Science Foundation, we are currently developing an AI-based mobile technology to train medical professionals in our proprietary tools to reduce medical errors and improve both patient and provider outcomes. Our aspiration is to use data and technology to train every human in essential skills to break bias.
