Ben Carlson was a fifteen year veteran lifeguard for the City of Newport Beach. Ben gave his life to save a swimmer in danger on July 6, 2014. This foundation is formed of family, friends, and lifeguard officials who loved Ben and are committed to carrying out his legacy. The Ben Carlson Memorial and Scholarship Foundation will be providing scholarships, promoting ocean safety, and are in the process of the planning and installment of a memorial statue in Ben's honor during the summer of 2015.
