Berry van Egten is a professional lighting designer. He established his lighting design practice BERLUX lichtarchitectuur in 1993 and which is located in Amersfoort, Holland. He is a member of the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) and a member of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD). He also represented the Professional Lighting Designers Association (PLDA) on the board as treasurer until 2013. He has taught Lighting Design at Universities throughout Holland, Belgium and Germany, such as the International Masters programme in Wismar. He has also headed several international workshops such as: Unna (D), Alingsas (S) and recently in Tallinn (EST). As a lighting designer he has worked on hundreds projects around the world.
