Founded in 1969, Bermudes Advogados is one of Brazil's leading law firms and a reference in litigation and arbitration. This tradition was achieved through the leadership and encouragement of its founding partner to ensure the solid academic, ethical, and professional training of its lawyers. Throughout its existence, its strong performance in relevant cases with national and international repercussions led the firm to a leading position in dispute resolution areas. In the 1970s, Sergio Bermudes sponsored the case of Vladimir Herzog's widow, when the dictatorship was defeated for the first time in the judiciary, which recognized that the journalist had been murdered. From the 1980s onwards, the firm assumed a leading position in civil litigation and in the area of ​​corporate restructuring, currently working throughout the country on important matters involving numerous large companies. In the early 1990s, the firm's structure grew significantly to meet the growing demand of its clients.
