Biofiba® Sustainable Hemp Technologies is a disruptive technology specifically developed to solve the many environmental, waste disposal and biosecurity issues surrounding timber and plastics used for pallets and packaging materials to export products globally. Produced using a unique patented Biofiba® extrusion process rendering the product inert and reducing embodied energy to deliver a superior environmentally sustainable product decreasing the dependence on oil based plastics and depleting global forests. Biofiba is a developer, manufacturer and licensor of a new generation disruptive technology using hemp as a bio composite, biodegradable composition to be used as an alternative to timber and as a replacement for plastics. Around the world, every year, approximately 6 billion one-way, one-use export pallets are created, used for 45 days and then are dumped into land fill. While there are over 10,000 pallet producers around the world, no one is using hemp fibre to create a sustainable, economically viable alternative until now.
