Biopixel is a premier filming and production services company specialising in natural history and complex animal behavioural sequences. At the cutting edge of new filming techniques and technologies, we shoot and produce high-definition video content for renowned clients and international production companies including Netflix, Disney+, Stan and National Geographic, and boast the world’s largest digital library of high-resolution stock footage of the Great Barrier Reef. It is our aim to promote the uniqueness, diversity and conservation of nature through the development of entertaining, engaging and educational visual content of the highest quality. Led by the same team, Biopixel Oceans Foundation (BOF) is a non-for-profit institution (DGR2) that conducts meaningful research initiatives that translate to the conservation of the world’s oceans, ecosystems and marine life. Experienced and equipped to take on a range of marine expeditions and projects, we facilitate critical research, exploration and education programs that are needed to deliver high-impact environmental solutions. Biopixel and BOF were established by IT entrepreneur Bevan Slattery and marine biologist Richard Fitzpatrick, who both spent much of their youth in and around Queensland’s reefs and oceans – and have since made it their mission to help promote and preserve our precious natural environment.
