QUALITY BEER WITH HERITAGE Birkenhead in Auckland is our home and we love the heritage of the area. Locals Steve & Brad had a simple plan back in late 2015, make quality beer that people will love and get again. The Birkenhead Brewing Company was born and released its first beer, Kauri Double IPA in November 2015 and the rest, as they say, is history. We're a young brewing company in Auckland and create beer that stands out among a very competitive market in New Zealand and internationally. Our range have distinct taste and beer styles to offer something for everyone. Designed by the self styled Beer Barons Steve and Brad, the beer then gets a workout with the science of the recipes co-developed with the master brewer Shane Morley of Steam Brewing. We contract brew our beer with Steam Brewing in Auckland. As the NZ Brewers Guild "Best Manufacturer" for 2015 and 2016, we're super happy that our beer is being made by masters and that results in top quality products. This Brewery gives us the scale we need to produce enough volume for our distribution customers and fans. But it's not all beer and bottle caps! We complement the brewery with our 100 year old Kauri villa in our hometown village of Birkenhead - the BBC Tasting Studio. This tap room gives our fans an experience to die for - a safe place to try our beer, new beer and many other things. An oasis if you will. Heritage is something to be treasured
