Founded in 1967, Birnie Electric Limited is a family owned and operated company that provides design/build, electrical contracting and datacomm services to developers and contractors, as well as to commercial and industrial businesses throughout Ontario and across Canada. Our Commercial and Industrial Divisions have recently completed landmark projects such as the Pan-Am Athlete's Village Complex in Toronto, the Biosteel Centre for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Waterloo Light Rapid Transit, University of Toronto Goldring Centre for High Performance Sports, and Canadian High Arctic Research Station in Nunavut to name a few. Birnie Electric is proud to be the electrical sub-contractor for the Eglinton Maintenance and Storage Facility for the Eglinton Light Rapid Transit System and several GO Transit station refurbishment projects such as Cooksville Station and Kipling GO Bus Terminal. Our Residential Home SAFE Division provides residential electrical services from small jobs to complete home re-wires and new construction. Our Electrical Risk Assessment (ERA) program diagnoses electrical issues behind the walls using state-of-the-art acoustic and thermo-imaging technology. Our expert electricians properly repair issues ensuring safety and piece-of-mind. With a seasoned team of skilled design engineers, CAD designers, supervisors, foremen, service technicians and electricians, we provide the dedication, technical knowledge and competence to get the job done right – on time and on budget.
