Birthright America is guided by the idea that when a child encounters something extraordinary, something never experienced before, that child's life is profoundly changed. The National Parks are a treasure every child should have the right to experience. Birthright America aims to provide every child living in the United States, regardless of their familys economic resources, with the opportunity to experience and learn about the natural grandeur of this great country. Too often children growing up in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods are unlikely to see even the natural wonders quite near them (such as the beach for students living in Florida); Birthright America aims to provide those children with the transformative opportunity to visit the countrys great National Parks by providing them with the structure and resources to visit a National Park and to receive both the educational and emotional enrichment that comes from such an experience. They will return to their schools and communities stronger leaders and advocates.
