The BLUEBARN Theatre was founded in 1989 in Omaha, Nebraska by graduates of the Conservatory at State University of New York at Purchase. Since then, it has become renown for producing professional-quality, contemporary theatre. Past shows have included "The Santaland Diaries" by David Sedaris, "Man from Nebraska" by Tracy Letts, and "Three Tall Women" by Edward Albee. In 2012, The BLUEBARN won the Nebraska Governor's Arts Award for Organizational Achievement. Other recent awards include Omaha Entertainment Awards for "Best Director - Musical" (Susan Clement-Toberer, "Spring Awakening," 2012), and Theatre Arts Guild award for "Outstanding Director Comedy / Drama, 2010-2011" (Susan Clement-Toberer, "Three Tall Women"). The BLUEBARN is a 501c3 non-profit organization and relies on charitable donations and ticket sales for revenue stream. The theatre welcomes individual and corporate gifts in support of the daring and innovative theatre it routinely produces.
