Boston Neighborhood Network is a nationally recognized, award-winning community media center and 501(c)(3) nonprofit that acts as a forum for all Boston residents, nonprofit and community-based organizations, governmental and educational institutions, providing them with affordable media training, access to emerging media technologies and distribution. BNN is a landmark institution built by and for the community. Our members, partners, supporters, guests, and our channels'​ programming represent the diversity of our city. CHARLES J.BEARD II MEDIA CENTER The Boston Neighborhood Network has called Charles J. Beard II Media Center home since 2007. A former MBTA Power Station, the facility was renovated and repurposed from powering trains to empowering people. The center is a LEED-certified U.S. Green Building operating with minimal environmental impact, which contributes to the health and sustainability of our city. It houses two-television production studios, a radio studio, a Timothy Smith Network media lab, a mobile production truck that covers community events as well as a conference room with full audio/visual capabilities and several meeting spaces. Boston Neighborhood Network is a community gem providing access to 21st-century communications, skills, and resources for the Boston community.
