Launched in 2007, the company was started by Anaka Narayanan in her quest for well-tailored, shapely clothes made out of Indian textiles. The name, Brass Tacks, comes from the expression, "getting down to brass tacks", which means getting down to basics. At Brass Tacks we focus on what we believe should be the foundation of every garment: quality fabric, great cuts, and excellent tailoring.
