bridge boston is a public charter school that opened in the fall of 2011 serving children in roxbury and the surrounding community – many of whom have experienced emotional, social, and developmental barriers to learning. in the 2019-2020 school year we will reach maturity with 335 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 8. we believe the most effective way to lift children out of poverty is by equipping them with an excellent education. with a longer school day and school year, we are able to provide academic rigor, a commitment to nurture the whole child, and a breadth of full-service programming to remove obstacles to knowledge acquisition.
