BrightWater Environmental Ltd supply the Titanium AOP water Purification system. The AOP system is a flow through unit which uses innovating technology to sterilise water. It kills all waterborne organisms, oxidises pollutants and offers significant advantages over conventional technologies. UV light falling onto the patented Titanium inner coating, generates Hydroxyl Radicals (OH•) and Superoxide Ions (O2-). These species attack and break down all microorganisms and organic pollutants in the water stream. This represents significantly more killing power than standard UV treatment. Due to their extreme reactivity both OH• and O2- only exist for a few nanoseconds (10-9s). Hence sterilisation takes place within the AOP unit itself with only sterile water being discharged. The Hydroxyl Radicals produced attack and break down the cell wall/membrane of any pathogens present. Hydroxyl Radicals are one of the most powerful oxidising agents known. Due to their oxidative strength Hydroxyl Radicals destroy and breakdown all organisms found in water.
