'The heart of the Expat comunity in Bangkok' The British Club is an international club. Founded in 1903, its present clubhouse was built in 1910, and the Club attracts a wide range of members from over 40 nationalities. The Clubhouse, surrounded by lawns, shrubs, trees and ample car parking space, features The Verandah, our casual bar & restaurant, The Churchill Bar, a snooker room and three function rooms all with full audio and visual facilities including big screen TV with satellite channels. Within the grounds are a 25 metre swimming pool, a children’s pool and play area, 4 floodlit tennis courts, 3 squash courts, a fitness centre, a sports shop and massage service. The Club offers a wide range of facilities and events for members to enjoy. Sporting activities include hockey, rugby, golf, squash, badminton, football, tennis, swimming, aqua aerobics, yoga and cricket, while social functions include quiz nights, food promotion events, wine tastings, stage entertainment and festival celebrations throughout the year. Many activities are organised for the juniors, includiing sporting events, sporting camps and seasonal parties, all which foster friendship amongst children and parents alike. The Club has changed over the years to meet the needs of its younger and more transient members providing a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for a wide range of sporting and social activities for the whole family. It also remains a popular venue for a business lunch or convivial drink.
