The BTK University of Applied Sciences is a private, officially recognised University of Design, located in Berlin, Hamburg and Iserlohn. At the BTK, modern design is combined with the traditional aspects of applied art and the innovative possibilities of new media. The BTK offers interdisciplinary courses of study which enable students to explore the interface of both analog and digital means of visual expression, and in so doing, help them to influence and determine the future of communication design. The Berlin campus of the BTK is situated in the creative center of the capital, near to Potsdamer Platz and the Sony Centre, close to many cultural highlights such as the New National Art Gallery. The enjoyment of both life and studying is characteristic of the campus of the BTK in Iserlohn (North-Rhine/Westphalia). The campus is surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Seilersee lake. In Hamburg the campus of the BTK is located close to the Dammtor rail station. The famous Aster lake is adjacent to the campus and the center of Hamburg with shopping, entertainment and culture a few minutes to the south. The BTK Campus Hamburg will be offering design courses starting in Winter Semester 2013/2014. Our students benefit from a practical, industry-relevant training program, which is a fundamental component of the course. The friendly and informal atmosphere and the international outlook of the BTK supplement the courses of study in a meaningful way.
