Caithness Chamber Vision: The Business Voice of the North Highlands Caithness Chamber Mission: To create a vibrant economy within the North Highlands that is successful, sustainable and diverse. Caithness Chamber Strategic Objectives • To actively engage with the business community to increase Chamber membership. • To secure the active involvement of the business community in the activities of the Chamber. • To develop a package of business services consistent with the vision, mission and values of the Chamber to contribute to the financial independence of the Chamber. • To establish effective partnerships with other organisations who have a key role to play in the development of a successful economy. • To promote the region as a great place to do business to potential customers and inward investors. And to “manage the message” both internally and externally. • To develop support services for business start-ups to increase entrepreneur success rates. • To encourage members to do more business to business trade and to collaborate to secure work from outside the region. • To lobby relevant bodies on key business issues that affect the entrepreneurship of members and the wider business community. • To identify commercial opportunities which capitalise on the skills and facilities in the region. • To develop a database that captures the skills and facilities within the region.
