CCCAOE is a statewide organization whose mission is to promote the interest of, and provide support for, occupational education and economic development activities in California Community Colleges. The organization provides leadership for professionals involved in preparing people for the workforce to enhance California's position within the global economy. Members include Career Technical Education Deans, Economic Development Initiative Directors, Chief Instructional Officers, faculty and business partners. The CCCAOE Leadership Academy Program builds the core knowledge, skills, and networking essential to Career Technical Education (CTE) and Economic and Workforce Development (EWD) professionals. Participants learn to maximize the effectiveness of programs at the college/district through the careful management of available resources. The Association hosts two annual conferences in the spring and fall that provide opportunities to build relationships and connect to statewide leaders; hear about advancements in education and technology, as well as updates on policy issues related to CTE and EWD.
