carolina raptor center is dedicated to the conservation of birds of prey. our 3/4 mile raptor trail is home to over 25 species of birds and is visited by 40,000 people a year. our environmental education programs reach over 25,000 students a year on site and in their classrooms. the jim arthur raptor medical center treats 1.000 birds a year, more than any other raptor center in the country. almost 70 percent of the injured birds that are admitted are released back into the wild after treatment.
