Carrières Plo has 2 main activities: The Granit: Carriere Plo extracts The Granit called Tarn Siverstar in Saint Salvy de la Balme for over 30 years, the most important granite quarry in Tarn and France. With a production of 20 000m3 of blocks per year and a sawing's factory proposing slabs all dimension and thickness. This material called Granit of Tarn Silverstar is a medium blue-grey granite with great qualities: homogeneous, hard , no oxydable. It has been used in the realisation of prestigious places like Frankfurt' airport, Champs-Elysees, Tsunami Memorial at the National History of London and many other places. The Marble Carriere Plo operates in the Pyrenees, in Sarrancolin, with a modern technology, blazing coloured prestigious marbles. King's material by excellence, those marbles are symbol of elegance and prestige. They represent the finest quality product of France. They are dazzling by their design and the richness of the colours. They are the most sumptuous marbles of France. Previously exploited by the Romans, they were later used by Michelangelo in Roma then by Mansart and the Duke d'Antin for the decoration of the Petit Trianon (chateau de Versailles). They are now in mayny famous hotel and famous places in China, London, France, India. The lod allows to cut blocs at any size to be used in slabs, flagstones, elaborated products (columns, etc...)
