Catholic Young Adult Sports (CYAS) started in the Spring of 2010 as an idea inspired by the successful KC Catholic Challenge Sports and through the assistance of many friends from the KC Young Adult community. The founder and president, Paul Spotts, saw a great need in the Denver Young Adult community for events that would connect the many small groups forming throughout the Denver Catholic community. A friend suggested that he start the sports program and he realized that this could work as a means to bring Christ to the many fallen away Catholics by meeting them in what they love - Sports and Social Events. We hope you find that through Catholic Young Adult Sports you grow in fellowship with other believers in the only Church that rightfully claims to be started directly by God, through Jesus Christ, the Catholic Church. We hope you come to know the Church and God better through that fellowship, but we also hope you learn to love your neighbor better by engaging in competitive and non-competitive activities that foster character, virtue, and good sportsmanship for all Catholic and non-Catholics 18-40 years of age.
