Centacare is the official Catholic social service agency for the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton. Centacares mission is to share in the healing ministry of Jesus by providing professional community services to enhance the wellbeing of individuals and families. Centacare works with community and government to serve all people without regard to religion, race, age, economic circumstance or ethnic background. Centacares primary role and purpose is to provide direct relief of suffering, distress misfortune, disability or helplessness, illness and the effects of poverty for the benefit of the community or a section of it. This is achieved through the provision of professional social services in: Community care (Aged care, Disability services, Mental health services) Family relationships(Counseling, Education, Family support services, Sexual assault services) Other core services are Natural Fertility Planning Services and Facilitating Open Couple Communication Understanding and Study Programs.
