Centacare Bathurst is the official professional family and community services agency of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Bathurst. Centacare was established by the Bishop and Trustees of the Diocese in June 1988 as an expression of the social mission of the Catholic Church throughout geographical area of the Diocese which includes the Central West and Orana regions. The organisation was built on two guiding principles: 1. Everyone and every community have resources and strengths which can be mobilised so that they can thrive. 2. Everyone is part of something more than their individual selves – a family, a community, a school, a workplace- and each individual has to be understood in their relevant context
