The University of Malaya’s CRAE believes in the innovative interaction of theories and challenging applications in the field of electronics. CRAE is strongly committed to provide a model environment using state of art systems and trained professionals operating within a cohesive structure to support international prominence of University of Malaya’s research and technology transfer efforts. Rapid advancements in industrial and domestic technology owe much to the growth of the electronics industry. Hence, human resource development programs need to be introduced to cater for the nation's need for knowledge workers. Workers who are responsible in implementing the relevant technologies related to the advancement of the electronics industry. With this in mind, the initiative has been taken to establish this Research Center; to increase the numbers of experts in this field – providing sufficient leaders, experts and instructors to cater for the nation’s need in training human resources in addition to the development and advancement of relevant knowledge. CRAE is committed to the advancement of the underlying theory of applied electronics specifically on electronics based systems such as computer, control and information systems theory/implementation studies. Although we focused on research contributions, we acknowledge that the most important output of the research center is people. We are privileged to have many talented research staff and industrial partners to work towards the achievement of our mission.
